about us
We're Kris and Ken Nutter - a hard-working and adventure-loving family from Cincinnati, Ohio. Ken is a high school math teacher and Kris is a Sustainable Design and Architecture professor, and along with our two kids, we love to travel. Our travel philosophy is go big or stay home. We've traveled from Maine to Florida and from North Carolina to California. Our goal is to visit all of the lower 48 states before our oldest child graduates high school - saving Hawai'i and Alaska for "graduation presents."

We travel in a 25' Sprinter chassis diesel motorhome and focus our exploring within the US National Parks and some state parks, although we also love exploring cities such as Washington D.C., Chicago, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and others as well. We love to find unexpected treasures off the beaten path; from hole-in-the-wall diners to gems like Cadillac Ranch (who knew?).

We love hiking, museums, ranger talks, and all types of sports. Our daughter plays travel softball and AAU basketball, while our son plays select soccer, basketball, golf, and also plays the drums. If you don't see us out on the road somewhere, it's likely youll find us on a field or in a gym. We're avid Kentucky WIldcats fans and a house-divided when it comes to the NFL with three Steelers fans and one Bengals fan things can get pretty interesting. We also love riding motorcyles and classic car shows - yes, we have a serious case of too many hobbies!

In addition to all that, we take pride in being eco-conscious individuals. We live in a passive-solar, solar electric green home and try to be eco-travelers as well.
